Euler Hermes graduate recruitment scheme offers recent graduates the opportunity to work with one of the world's leading credit insurance companies.

We are currently recruiting for the 2008 scheme, commencing this September.

Job Purpose - Graduate Scheme


  • To attain the core competencies, personal and technical skills that are key to Euler Hermes' business.

  • To undertake an intense 12-month recruitment and training programme to develop a practical and thorough understanding of the Euler Hermes Group's products, services and organisation. The recruitment process has been designed so you get first hand experience of working in all areas of the business during the scheme. This also includes attending formal training courses in areas vital to Euler Hermes business concerns, including financial analysis and exporting terms.

  • To be placed within Euler Hermes after completion of the recruitment programme in an area to suit your strengths and skills. For example, in a commercial role managing relationships with Euler Hermes clients and brokers or, within risk underwriting, assessing risk by analysing financial accounts. Euler Hermes also has opportunities in other departments such as Claims, Collections or Finance.

Key Responsibilities - Graduate Scheme


  • To take responsibility for sourcing, interpreting and providing reports on the financial, economic, commercial and political status of a Euler Hermes client.

  • Delivery of projects within agreed timetables so that Euler Hermes reduces costs, improves customer service and increases efficiencies.

  • To form business relationships internally and with Euler Hermes clients, buyers and brokers.

  • To conduct presentations as and when required.

Required Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience


  • 2:1 (or projected 2:1) or 2:2 degree standard of education in any discipline.

  • Have a valid work permit/visa to work in the UK.

  • An understanding and knowledge of credit management and keenness to work for a financial services company.

  • Commercial awareness and customer service.

  • Well developed presentation skills.

  • Good communicator and ability to work well as part of a team.

  • Enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn and develop.

  • IT literate.

  • £20,000 pa, rising to £25,000 after 12 months.
